New Head of State Planning

President Bashar Assad passed a new nomination for head of State Planning, Dr. Amer Lutfi. Bio follows.

Amer Husni Lutfi
Minister of State Planning

Born 1956, Homs -Syria.

Taught at the Aleppo-University Commerce & Economics College as an instructor till 1982.

                A master in economics, Catholic University of Louvain,
                PhD in economic analysis, Free Brussels University,
                worked on an economic research team at the Common European         
                Market.

Since 1994 he worked as a professor at the Commerce & Economics College, Aleppo University.

In early 2004, became the Director General for the Public Establishment for Ginning and Marketing Cotton.

Left to Belgium in 1982 where he obtained:

Obtained a Bachelor Degree in Economics and a Postgraduate Diploma from Aleppo University 1980
